Happy Birthday Canada ♥

143 years young and still going strong

I received my Citizenship in 2003 but been living here except between 1990 - 1993 since 1984.

After a rocky start being homesick and bawling my eyes out when it snowed in April i learned to love this Country and especially this Province (NB) . There is an unpretentious quiet beauty about this area that fits my personality.

I belong!!

There are things i miss about Germany , most of all my Family but this is home. Canada adopted me and never made me feel unwelcome .

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Canada !!

mxtodis123 said...: Happy Canada Day to you. It's hard moving and adjusting. I only moved from one state to another, but one was country, the other was city...a big adjustment. Glad you are feeling comfortable now. My grandpa's family were from Germany. Not quite sure what part.

About this blog

I believe in the cave paintings at Lascaux,

the beauty of the clavicle,

the journey of the salmon.

I believe in all the gods -

I just don't like some of them.

I believe the war is always against the imagination,

is recurring, repetitive, and relentless.

I believe in fairies, elves, angels and bodisatvas.

Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy,

I believe Raven invented the Earth

and so did Coyote. In archeology

lie the clues. The threshold is numinous
