living surrounded by woods means that sometimes we have little visitors. We have a little field mouse living in our basement that we been trying to catch in vain. I think it laughs at the live traps we set out and keeps on happily munching and hording dog food that we find in the strangest places.
Yesterday our terrier mix Bunny started acting strange, she whined at corners and chased through the house. We thought that Mr/Mrs mouse made a home upstairs which i was not happy with . But it was no mouse , it was a beautiful snow white little weasel who will come into a house if it goes after a rodent. So all day long we tried to catch it and then release it back outside. In the evening my husband almost caught it but it slipped away from him ,but not from Bunny. I never seen her so fast and before we could do anything she caught it and unfortunately killed it :(. I guess terriers are called rat dogs for a reason.
I'm curious if the weasel caught the mouse, time will tell i guess.

Terriers can be fierce little dogs all right.
Don't know much about weasels, but it sure is a cute little thing...but wouldn't want it in my house.

I like weasels...but outdoors, please!
On the other hand, brave dog you have there!
terriers are brave and he was defending his turf.
