Total Lunar Eclipse and Winter Solstice

our sky was to overcast to see anything and we where also hit with another rainstorm,
so thank goodness for YouTube

I hope everybody has a good Winter Solstice, this year being special having the eclipse falling on the same day as the solstice.

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer

To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.

But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep

Solstice blessings to you! We had cloud cover here in Edmonton too.

I didn't see it because we had clouds here too. It was a very special day, though. I'm hit with a certain kind of serenity. The days will get longer.

The poem is lovely. Thanks for that. Robert Frost is always great.

and thank goodness for you too Gabi.
Snow swirling lightly through the sky would have kept it un-visable to me as well.
Ahhhhhhhhhh we read Robert Frost poems alot in my New England schooling.
Had to learn them and read them standing in front of the class.
Wasn't fond of them then...now YES. :0)
